Recreate an Image of Your Well Loved Home
Many people choose to commission a drawing of their favourite home or a property that holds years of family memories when they are downsizing, or relocating to another city or region.
A House Portrait can also be a wonderful gift for family members who live a long way from their family and the ‘family home’, it can help them to remember the great times they shared when they lived in the home - all together.
House Portraits also help to create a comfortable ambiance in offices and waiting rooms of organisations and private Practices, especially if you work long hours away from your family and much loved home.
A portrait of your Business premises may also work well as a form of marketing as it establishing an image for your business in the community.
Being a visual artist Alison understands the passion that we can have towards our homes, the efforts we put in to restore or modify them to suit our desires and lifestyle - she has renovated multiple homes over the years and has enjoyed the process from start to finish.

Art commission means engaging an artist to create artwork specifically for you. Alison can create a personalised and unique drawing or painting of your house to hang in your home or to give to your loved ones. Call Alison to discuss timelines and options available.
Your commissioned artwork is guaranteed to be a ‘one of a kind’, and it will not only remind you of your beautiful home but the wonderful memories that have been created in the home over the years. You will also receive a Certificate of Authenticity on delivery of your personalised drawing.
Sizes include:
- A4 sized Black & White Drawing - $550
(mat/foam core back and wrapped in cellophane – postage included)
- A3 sized Black & White Drawing - $750
(mat/foam core back and wrapped in cellophane – postage included)
Timeframe from ordering to receiving – allow between 3 to 4 weeks in most cases
How to Order a Custom House Portrait
In 4 easy steps, you can have your own commissioned artwork on display in your home forever. Alison Greenway’s custom portraits are individually drawn by hand and based on the photo you provide her (See House Portrait Image Guidelines).
Step 1: Upload Your Photo
Attach 3 or 4 quality photos of your house to your email so Alison can begin creating your personalised artwork. Please read the ‘image guidelines’ for tips to make your custom portrait picture perfect! If you have special decorative areas, stair cases and statues in the garden etc. take close up photos of these as well.

Step 2: Make it yours
Alison’s custom portraits are offered with a mat, board and wrapped in celephane (you may choose to select your own frame after receiving your artwork).
- Frame options (A4 or A3 in Black, White, Timber look or Silver frames – all will have matt borders). Alison will discuss options with you at the time of ordering your commission artwork.
Step 3: Arrange deposit and email order form
- Attach signed Custom House Portrait Commission Contract to your email and make an agreed 50% of commission fee payment into Alison’s bank account.
- Alison will confirm to you that she has received your payment, and provide your with an estimated completion date.
Step 4: The Proof
You will receive a picture of your artwork proof via email to review and approve in 14 days or less. Once approved, Alison will complete it and prepare your artwork for delivery. After your final 50% of commission fee has been paid and cleared in Alison’s bank account she will immediately arrange Framing (matboard etc.) and delivery to you.
Typically - You will receive your artwork 3 to 4 weeks – depending on your individual artworks, possible hold up at the Framers or extra steps for special pre – organised print processes, and the distance it needs to be freighted too.
